Martin’s involvement as a gay activist began at the Lesbian and Gay Radio in Copenhagen, Radio Rosa. Later he became Chairperson of the association running the radio and was then elected member of the National Board of LGBT-Denmark, the Danish National Association of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender people.
For the last 5 years Martin has been a member of the Board of LGBT-Denmark International and thereby involved in ILGA-Europe and bilateral cooperation with other organisations in both Eastern and Western Europe.
In 2012 Martin was elected one of the two European Members in the ILGA World board and he became a member of the board of GLISA, the International LGBT sports association.
Martin has a Master Degree in History and Middle East Studies and spent parts of his studies in the Netherlands and in Istanbul, Turkey. Up till now, Martin has worked all of his professional life as a communication officer, journalist and chief editor.
