LGBTI equality and human rights in Europe and Central Asia

Slava Melnyk

Since 2018, Slava is the Executive Director of the Campaign Against Homophobia (KPH) - Polish advocacy non-profit working for the LGBTI community. In the years 2011-2013 he was a volunteer and project coordinator working on the know-how exchange between NGOs from Easter Europe and Balkans. Later, he has coordinated projects related to discrimination and homophobia in sports. In 2014-2018, apart from working in the Executive Board of KPH, he has coordinated the "Equal School" (anti-discrimination in formal education) and "Sport Respects Your Rights" (activities aimed at promoting equality and respect in sport). Slava was one of the initiators of the "Rainbow Friday" initiative aimed to support LGBTI students in high school.

Privately, Slava is a fan of good series, juicy music, night city and football. During working hours Slava is mostly involved in coordinating KPH's staff engagement in the movement and discovering their yet-undiscovered activism potentials.
